What if every meaningful connection you made at an event actually stayed with you? This is the story of how Tactlink transformed fragmented, physical networking into a secure, digital-first community—without losing the trust that real-life connections are built on.

Challenges

Traditional networking relies heavily on physical business cards and short in-person interactions, making it inefficient to manage contacts long-term. Existing digital networking platforms often encourage mass connections, spam, and shallow relationships. Danny needed a solution that digitised networking while preserving its most important rule: you should only connect with people you’ve actually met.

Problem solving with design thinking workshop

Lizard Global built Tactlink—a community-driven networking app that combines contact management, social interaction, and event-based discovery. Designed around real-world encounters, the platform removes open search to prevent random spamming and instead enables connections through associations and events. With a freemium model and strong privacy controls, Tactlink creates a trusted digital extension of offline networking.

Association-Based Networking

Users can join verified business associations (such as JCI or industry groups) and connect exclusively with members, reflecting how networking naturally happens in real life.

Digital Fishbowl for Events

Event organisers generate a unique QR code for each event. Attendees who scan it can see and connect with others present—digitally recreating the “room” they’re in.

Smart Business Cards

Users can create digital business cards, save others by scanning or taking a photo, and automatically link profiles once both parties are on Tactlink.

Social Feed with Controlled Visibility

Users can connect, follow, post updates, and engage in a news feed, while association posts remain visible only to relevant group members.

Freemium Access with Admin Control

Free users can create one business card with limited connections, while premium users unlock multiple cards, multi-device access, and a secretary function to manage contacts on their behalf.
