Project Background

Like A Buddy, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, is committed to youth care by guiding parents in managing and resolving complex child behavior. They focus on offering support and advice to parents dealing with challenging situations involving their children. Recognizing that parents often struggle in isolation, Like A Buddy envisioned a way to connect them with experienced "buddies"—trained advisors who could offer tailored guidance and emotional support.

Challenges

Before the project, Like A Buddy had no digital platform to connect parents with these helpful advisors. There was a clear need for a secure and user-friendly solution that could match parents with buddies based on their specific challenges and location. The foundation sought a digital transformation that would not only enable matchmaking but also allow for meaningful interactions within a controlled and supportive environment.

Lizard Global together with Like A Buddy, developed the vind een buddy platform as a digital solution that connects parents to buddies for direct communication and ongoing guidance. Access to the platform is exclusively available through invitations, ensuring a safe and focused community. Through the web application, parents can be matched with suitable buddies and start real-time conversations to receive the support they need.
